Project Description

Donnelly Construction was selected to build a new pre-school Early Learning Center in the Clinton Hill section of Newark. We worked closely with the owner and architect throughout Pre-Construction – from the initial conceptual phase to Schematic Design, Design Development, and the completion of Construction Drawings – providing budgeting services, best practice recommendations, value engineering exercises, and the expediting of permit documents through the city of Newark.

During the project, we worked closely with the two schools which would be occupying the space: fine-tuning details, coordinating playground, kitchen, and furniture installations, and provisioning IT services. The result is a state of the art, truly unique space in the heart of Newark containing 16 classrooms, areas for family and child services, an exterior courtyard playground, a warming kitchen, and a multi-purpose community room.
