Denville officials are reviewing an apartment complex proposal for a block of land where Route 53 intersects the Mt. Tabor Train Station. The site in question, seen as the entry into Denville, is currently home to a dental office.

Johnson Brothers partnered with Kushner Studios to transform an abandoned three-story building into the home of their future offices and selected Donnelly Construction to perform the work. The scope of work includes new structural steel on each floor in order to support a new four-stop elevator, new electrical and fire sprinkler service, and a reinforced roof to accommodate an exterior patio for entertaining clients. Each floor will receive exposed mechanical systems and brick walls to create an industrial vibe while being trimmed out in modern finishes. The project begun in late May and is on schedule to be completed by the end of the summer.

Donnelly Construction was once again selected by Indian Trail Club for their latest construction project - a large addition to the club’s primary member building. The addition includes a basement expansion, a new bar and lounge area, an expanded member gym, and a new dining patio. The project also includes renovations to their existing kitchen, the remodel of their dining room, and the installation of a new generator.

The Bonnie Brae School selected Donnelly Construction out of a large group of competitors to be the Design-Builder for the campus’ newest set of projects. Bonnie Brae noted our previous successful renovation of some of the school’s cottages as a major factor in the re-selection. The Family Resource Center is being re-purposed into a welcoming and visitor center, and the New Cottage is a single-story housing residence for the boys consisting of bedrooms, bathrooms, laundry rooms, living spaces, and staff offices. The additions will maintain the classical Tudor design of the building exterior and the original slate roof is being replaced with faux slate shingles.

Upper Montclair Country Club selected Donnelly Construction to complete an extensive renovation to their facility, including a brand new Pro Shop, and Member’s Dining room additions. The 2,000 SF steel-framed dining room received all new coffered ceilings, and Kolbe bi-fold doors that open up to the new timber framed patio which was locally sourced from the Pacific Northwest. The 5,800 SF timber patio was the highlight of the project and featured a new outdoor bar, central fireplace, and a stamped concrete surface. The new additions received synthetic slate roofing to match the look of the original slate roof that covered majority of the existing clubhouse.
